Childhood friends, Normand Pelletier (singer) and Patrick Boisvert (drummer) had already worked together on several musical compositions projects in their teenage before they founded the ‘’Attrape-Nigaud’’ band, nominated at the ‘’Empire des futures stars’’ contest in Montreal.
Seeking talented musicians for this contest, Normand had contacted Sébastien Montplaisir (guitarist) and Luc Richard (bass) with whom he shared the stage at Quebec City’s Capitole theater for the well-known Elvis Story production. Right from their first appearance at this contest, the audience could feel the unusual chemistry and energy taking place on the stage. In the following years, the four musicians performed individually and occasionally together again on several projects.
It is in the spring of 2002 that “Rebound” was born as a 3 piece band when Normand, Sébastien and Patrick shared the dream to form a new group that would be characterized by an overwhelming sense of fun! They quickly made their mark performing in Quebec’s network of night clubs . With the growing demand for the group there was a need for adding one musician to the band. Their friend Luc Richard (bass) was approached and joined “Rebound” to complete the group as it is now.
Despite different musical taste and influences, there was an instant connection between the four musicians, an obvious comfort on stage and a common goal to deliver an energetic musical experience to their audience. Since then, the group has performed in over 500 shows at corporate events, private parties, festivals, casinos and night clubs across Canada and USA.
